Tuscola Women's Club GFWC Scholarships: The Illinois Federation of Women's Clubs will again be offering numerous scholarships. Students are eligible if pursuing a career in areas such as Art, Drama, Music, Vocational, or Education. Applications are available in the Core and are due February 15, 2020.

 

Illinois Odd Fellow-Rebekah Scholarship- Any senior is invited to apply for this scholarship which is awarded based on financial need and scholastic ability. Applications are available online in the Core and are due February 15th, 2020.    



Mediacom Scholarship- Again this year, Mediacom is offering 55 $1,000 scholarships to senior high school students who live in the 21 states where Mediacom provides cable, internet, and telephone services. Apps are available at www.mediacomworldclass.com and are due 

February 15th, 2020.

 

Joe and Sue Summerville Ag Scholarship: This $1,500 scholarship will be given to a senior in Douglas County who plans to pursue an ag related field of study. The scholarship is in memory of Lois and Myron Riddle of Tuscola. Applications are available in the Core and are due February 21st, 2020.

 

Farm Credit Illinois- Thirty $2,000 scholarships will be given to graduating seniors planning to pursue an agricultural related degree. Applications are available online athttp://farmcreditil.com/resources/community/scholarships/Pages/default.aspx and are due February 28, 2020.

 

Douglas County Pheasants Forever Scholarship: The Douglas County Pheasants Forever is again offering the Tom Innes Memorial Scholarship to a child, niece, nephew, or grandchild of a Pheasants Forever member. Applications are available in the Core and are due February 29th, 2020.

 

The National Defense Transportation Association (NDTA) Scholarship- The NDTA scholarships are awarded in the amounts ranging from $1,500-$3,000. Priority is given to students majoring in Business, Transportation Logistics, or Physical Distribution related programs. Applications are available in the Core and are due March 1st, 2020. 

 

Illinois Masonic Scholarships: The Scottish Rite Scholarship Fund for Health Career Fields are available through the Illinois Grand Lodge and Scottish Rite Masons. In addition, several scholarships are available for those students with a Masonic affiliation. Applications are available at http://www.aasrdanville.org/?page_id=48 and are due March 1, 2020.

 

Illinois Elks Association Scholarship: The Illinois Elks will be offering scholarships to seniors majoring in Physical or Occupational Therapy as well as scholarships to seniors going into Physical or Occupational Therapy Assistant programs. Applications are available atillinoiselksccc.org and are due March 6th, 2020.   

 

Lloyd and Selma Sweeney Scholarship: Seniors in Coles or Douglas County who are pursuing degrees in either Ag or Healthcare related fields are eligible for this new $5,000 scholarship. Applications are available in the Core and are due March 15th, 2020. 

 

Springfield Diocesan Council of Catholic Women: Four scholarships in the amount of $500 will be awarded to four outstanding Catholic Senior Girls. Applications are available in the Core and are due March 30th, 2020.   

 

Illinois Society of Professional Engineers: The local Champaign chapter will be awarding scholarships to students living in Champaign, Vermillion, Edgar, Douglas, Coles, or southern Ford Counties and who plan to pursue an engineering degree. Applications are available in the Core and are due March 30th, 2020.

 

TCHS Alumni Scholarship: This annual scholarship is for seniors graduating from Tuscola whose sibling, parent, or grandparent is also a graduate of TCHS. Applications are available in the Core and are due April 1st, 2020. In addition to this scholarship, another "Special" Alumni Scholarship of $500 will be presented to a 2020 senior this year who is going into a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) related field. These special applications are available in the Core and are due April 1st, 2020.

 

Donald J. Lindley and Belle H. Lindley Scholarships: This scholarship is again being offered and is based on financial need and a 3.0 GPA. Applications are available in the CORE and are due April 15th, 2020.

 

Sarah Bush Lincoln Scholarships: The Sarah Bush Lincoln Health System Guild Scholarship Committee will be giving out 3 scholarships (Guild Scholarship, Dr. C.D. Swickard Scholarship, and Vasudeo Shripad Joag Scholarship) to students pursuing a career in a health related field. Applications are available in the Core and are due April 15th, 2020. 

 

Heritage Family Farms Ag Scholarship: Any high school senior from Arcola, ALAH, Tuscola or Villa Grove who plans to pursue an Ag field in college is eligible to apply for this scholarship. Applications are available in the Core and are due April 15th, 2020.

 

Georgine McDonald Trust Scholarship: This local scholarship is for Tuscola graduates who must have a 2.5 GPA and be entering the field of fine or liberal arts, medicine, law, or agriculture. Applications are available in the Core and are due April 17th, 2020.

 

Cletcher-Wessale Scholarship: This local scholarship is for Tuscola graduates who must be pursuing a college graduate school or medical school education in the area of medicine, including training as a physician, or within a related healthcare field. Applications are available in the Core and are due April 17th, 2020.

The National Defense Transportation Association (NDTA) Scholarship- The NDTA scholarships are awarded in the amounts ranging from $1,500-$3,000. Priority is given to students majoring in Business, Transportation Logistics, or Physical Distribution related programs. Applications are available in the Core and are due March 1st, 2020.

 

Illinois Masonic Scholarships: The Scottish Rite Scholarship Fund for Health Career Fields are available through the Illinois Grand Lodge and Scottish Rite Masons. Illinois Elks Association Scholarship: The Illinois Elks will be offering scholarships to seniors majoring in Physical or Occupational Therapy as well as scholarships to seniors going into Physical or Occupational Therapy Assistant programs. Springfield Diocesan Council of Catholic Women: Four scholarships in the amount of $500 will be awarded to four outstanding Catholic Senior Girls. Applications are available in the Core and are due March 30th, 2020.

Illinois Masonic Scholarships: The Scottish Rite Scholarship Fund for Health Career Fields are available through the Illinois Grand Lodge and Scottish Rite Masons. In addition, several scholarships are available for those students with a Masonic affiliation. Applications are available at http://www.aasrdanville.org/?page_id=48 and are due March 1, 2020.

 

Illinois Elks Association Scholarship: The Illinois Elks will be offering scholarships to seniors majoring in Physical or Occupational Therapy as well as scholarships to seniors going into Physical or Occupational Therapy Assistant programs. Applications are available atillinoiselksccc.org and are due March 6th, 2020.   

 

Lloyd and Selma Sweeney Scholarship: Seniors in Coles or Douglas County who are pursuing degrees in either Ag or Healthcare related fields are eligible for this new $5,000 scholarship. Applications are available in the Core and are due March 15th, 2020. 

 

Springfield Diocesan Council of Catholic Women: Four scholarships in the amount of $500 will be awarded to four outstanding Catholic Senior Girls. Applications are available in the Core and are due March 30th, 2020.   



TCHS Alumni Scholarship: This annual scholarship is for seniors graduating from Tuscola whose sibling, parent, or grandparent is also a graduate of TCHS. Applications are available in the Core and are due April 1st, 2020. In addition to this scholarship, another "Special" Alumni Scholarship of $500 will be presented to a 2020 senior this year who is going into a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) related field. These special applications are available in the Core and are due April 1st, 2020.

 

Donald J. Lindley and Belle H. Lindley Scholarships: This scholarship is again being offered and is based on financial need and a 3.0 GPA. Applications are available in the CORE and are due April 15th, 2020.

 

Sarah Bush Lincoln Scholarships: The Sarah Bush Lincoln Health System Guild Scholarship Committee will be giving out 3 scholarships (Guild Scholarship, Dr. C.D. Swickard Scholarship, and Vasudeo Shripad Joag Scholarship) to students pursuing a career in a health related field. Applications are available in the Core and are due April 15th, 2020. 

 

Heritage Family Farms Ag Scholarship: Any high school senior from Arcola, ALAH, Tuscola or Villa Grove who plans to pursue an Ag field in college is eligible to apply for this scholarship. Applications are available in the Core and are due April 15th, 2020.

 

Georgine McDonald Trust Scholarship: This local scholarship is for Tuscola graduates who must have a 2.5 GPA and be entering the field of fine or liberal arts, medicine, law, or agriculture. Applications are available in the Core and are due April 17th, 2020.

 

Cletcher-Wessale Scholarship: This local scholarship is for Tuscola graduates who must be pursuing a college graduate school or medical school education in the area of medicine, including training as a physician, or within a related healthcare field. Applications are available in the Core and are due April 17th, 2020.

All class officers there will be a picture taken for yearbook  on Tuesday, Feb 4th.

 

There is a Math Team meeting Tuesday, February 4 at lunch.  Anyone attending the ICTM Math Contest should attend.  

 

GSA Booster Club is holding a meeting on Sunday February 9th and 6 pm. It will be at the Odd Fellows lodge above Vintage Karma on Sale st..
